Agriturismo Le Grotte

Spaziosa camera con soggiorno / angolo cottura, ben attrezzata e comoda, tranquillissima perché situata in un ampio giardino. Colazione buona ed abbondante, proprietari cordiali e disponibili.

Purtroppo manca il bidet, sostituito da un doccino di impiego molto aleatorio.

«Ambiente tranquillo e pulito. Barbara e suo marito sono stati cortesi e disponibili. La Location è molto bella con vista lago mozzafiato.» La colazione è super abbondante con vasta scelta di prodotti.

Le Grotte were our first stop at this vacation. About an hour driving from the FCO airport. The place in reality is much more beatifull than in the pictures, a rustic country house, well furnished and well equipped, very clean, with a huge green well kept garden. Peacefull and quite place, the owner at the place had helped us whenever needed, and Barbara was very comunicative and answered any of our questions at any time. The lake shore is within a few minutes of walking and the old city Nemi is within 10 minutes driving from there (a must go!!!). On our way to Rome (in which is about an hour driving) we had even found some flea market which we had enjoyed a lot. If you are there visiting Nemi, go to the "le colombe" restaurant and send our best reguards to Alberto, wonderfull food and great hosting and atmosphere. LE grotte is nothing but a small piece of heaven on earth, surely we will be back there! Great place to stay, my suggestion - take at least 2 nights there, as it is impossible not to fall in love with it (we have had 3 and i wish we had taken more, now that i know this place)

If I really had to find something than it is the fact that one must have a car to get there and to get around (and maybe it is better, because it feels less touristic and more of a local place). But other than that - nothing but relaxation and enjoying nature and tranquillity and the good people of this small lovely town.

Scenery is beautiful, we loved the lake crater. Garden is very well-kept. Apartment was clean and creative will all the rocks. Breakfast was simple but for two people - just fine, 4 pastries and fresh milk.

- communication with staff only in italian - evenings there was noice in the apartment from kitchen behind the wall (not very soundproof) - restaurant works only during weekends, well it is what it is, you have to make a trip to the nearby towns with great cuisine - a sunbed or two would be nice addition in the garden to enjoy it more

The owner of the property kept the farm in a high standard; the farm itself is in a quiet location but accessible, the room is specious and clean, the amenities are adequate. It is perfect for someone who is looking for a unique farm experience, but also wish to accessible to local towns and villages.
