Agriturismo Cuca

Pietro was an excellent host. He was available upon arrival, spoke excellent English, showed us our rooms and the property. We were especially interested in seeing the organic gardens and infrastructure he had set up for sustainable agriculture (we are scientists ourselves). Our two small children had a great time exploring the property and we all thoroughly enjoyed the views and scenery. The dinner was excellent, with produce and food sourced locally, in fact the same produce we helped pick at the farm that same day. We opted to sit outside under the mulberry tree and enjoy space for the 3 year old to run around freely and have a relaxing dinner. The price was reasonable and well worth the quality of the food. He provided a great recommendation for a hike the next day which we also enjoyed. Unfortunately my wife suffered an accident while we were hiking off site that day and had to go to the hospital in Petralia Sottana. This was on our second day of our stay - I had to return that evening and retrieve our luggage and depart early from our stay. Pietro was extrememly gracious and provided dinner for myself and toddler as we packed our luggage and departed. Following leaving the property, Pietro stayed in contact via WhatsApp with personal concern about my wife's condition. He was available to provide whatever support he could and I felt genuine concern for him as we navigated our way home from Sicily (as my wife had broken her hip). Thank you so much Pietro for a great (short) stay and we hope to return again some other time!

The property is located in a very beautiful area. Surrounded by the scenic hills and mountains of central Sicily. Nearby is the nice little town of Polizzi Generosa where you can truly feel the way of living in rural Sicily. One of the best things about the property are the hosts. Pietro and his mother were so welcoming and helpful. They prepared one of the best breakfast and dinners we had during our vacation on the island. I truly advise to take the option for dinner at the property. The breaks and dinners shared with the other guests were so nice and refreshing. We met some great people and the mix of eating and socializing was so great. Once again I need to thank Pietro about his great tips and the overall hospitality. Last but not least I need to mention the two dogs and the cat living in the farm. They were so friendly and sweet. The sweetest dogs ever.

Nothing. If you come with the right expectations you won’t be disappointed. It’s a farm. You will have everything you need but you can’t expect any state or the art technology or gadgets. You will need to walk 40 minutes to an hour to reach the nearby town or just use your car and get there for 10 minutes. It’s in the countryside (obvious from the map when you book it), so you will need to drive there using the Sicilian roads and highways, which are totally fine for my level of driving btw.

The place is a piece of paradise. Owner Pierto and his mother are extremely helpful and kind and took care immediately a small problem we had . I would recommend the place.

This agriturismo has wonderful food, location, and host! When we arrived we were greeted with fresh figs and wine. Each dinner had antipasto, primi (pasta dish), and secondi (meat/fish dish) made with ingredients from the garden. Wine and melon liquor (digestif) were also offered with the meal. Breakfast included coffee/tea, biscotti, cheese, fresh tomatoes, figs, bread, homemade olive oil and jams. Every dish was delicious! The location was on a hillside with amazing sunset views. You are about 10 minute drive from Polizzi Generosa, a small mountainside town, and 30 minute drive from many lovely hikes. There are only three rooms available so the property is quiet. Pietro was an amazing host! His english was great, he had many wonderful suggestions for day trips, and even offered us a tour around his vegetable garden. He has two incredibly sweet dogs on the property that we loved. We cannot recommend booking this place more!

Lovely place, great attitude of host, delicious food. Pietro gave us a lot of travel and hiking tips. Thanks for tip for beach close Cefalu and beautiful flowers next to the bed and on the table. We loved dogs and a cat!

There is nothing

The location: Off the beaten track, Cuca is nestled in the hillside with an incredible view of Polizzi Generosa and the sunset over the valley. It’s a very quiet and relaxing place to be. You definitely need a car to get here & around. The hiking: Parco delle Madonie has so many beautiful walking routes to offer, Cuca makes a great base for explorations. The meals: We’ve been served the tastiest meals of our trip here, lovingly prepared by Pietro and his mum from local and seasonal produce. We shared our meals and our stories with other guests by the big dining table, which was a truly familiar experience. The dogs: We’re the friendliest!

Lovely country surrounding in simple accommodation, with clean mountain air, healthy organic food, a good breakfast and excellent Sicilian cuisine on offer for an evening meal by Pietro’s delightful mother. Pietro was helpful and knowledgeable about most things, including directions and short cuts. (We were glad of our smaller car for the hilltop towns.) We enjoyed the relaxed company of other guests at the tables under the ancient mulberry tree. It was a good location for travel in a number of directions, and other guests did some good hiking in the area as well.

Be aware that weather conditions in the hills can make wifi uncertain.
