LA TANA DEL PICCHIO

Les hôtes sont accueillants et facilitent notre séjour. La maison accessible par un chemin de terre carrossable est bien située. La chambre est spacieuse et très propre. Le petit déjeuner composé, entre autres, de confitures et gâteau maison est très bon et copieux. Très bel endroit !

Fantastic location. Friendly host couldn't have been more helpful. Spoke great English. Brilliant walking right from the garden. Lovely views. Dog friendly and has a big friendly dog. Cool in the heat. On a practical note all the sockets are Italian spec, not euro. Google pin is accurate for the location, long fairly rough driveway. Would happily go back.

Everything was lovely but if I had to say something then the mattress wasn't great for me but I am fussy.

Unusually beautiful and interesting place surrounded by nature. Friendly acceptance by family who performs bio agriculture. Delicious breakfast and supper based on own products. I received information on interesting places in surroundings and kind explanation for my questions. And beautiful nature around Monte Fuso, with many marked paths, magnificent panorama sights.

La Tana del Picchio was a wonderful experience. I booked at short notice to add some variety to my motorcycle tour route. I found an absolute diamond. The entire experience was amazing. It is remote and at the end of a rough track which only adds to the feeling of being close to nature. The hosts were a wonderful family who were extremely attentive and they couldn't have done more to make my short stay so relaxing and peaceful. I only wish I could have stayed longer. The rooms as a good size and they are well furnished in keeping with the style of the property. The food which was prepared fresh from predominately ingrediants from their own resources was exceptional and it was a pleasure to be able to share the hosts home and to learn about the background and history behind their produce. I was humbled when the host very kindly presented me with a bottle of their own family recipe balsamic vinegar that had been passed down through the generations. Thank you so much for such an enjoyable experience and I 150% recommend La Tan del Picchio to anyone considering a booking and in need of a peaceful and tranquil location. Molto Grazie Mille

Nothing. Peace, space and wonderful hosts. It has it all. My room didn't have a fridge but this was not an issue as the hosts kindly chilled my water in their fridge overnight ready for my journey the next day. Nothing was too much trouble.

Do yourself a favour and come here for a few nights. Paola and her family are one of the nicest people there is. You can see they do this with love and passion. And definetly get dinner as well, all food is amazing.
