La Colombera in Toscana

The approach via an unpaved road wasn’t the easiest, but the location and stay were well worth it. The house is authentically Tuscan.

Room was big and the views were pretty. Beds were comfortable

Very hard to get to, have to drive up a really rocky hill, there are farm guard dogs along the hill that chase you and if you stop they try to bite/puncture your tires, it was very scary. We were in a hire car and were so worried about it getting damaged that we had to change accomodations after one night as it was almost impossible to get up the hill. When we told the host we were checking out early the response they gave was “okay whatever” didn’t even ask if everything was okay or why. Also the main owners were away when we stayed so someone else was running it and he was up drinking making noise with his friends till late at night

Pretty good value for the price; bed was comfortable.

Location remote from anything, restaurants and such at 20-30 minutes away. There were some bugs in the room which might have freaked some people out.

We loved our room, we loved peacful atmosphere. We loved this place owners. Also the breakfast cake which was made for us and other couple. It was deliciouse. We felt special.

The only thing was the road to this house. If you have smaller car, it can be a little bit scary. Especialy if you are renting a car. In the dark it would be a lityle bit uncomfortable to ride, because it is a narrow rode and also not an asfalt rode.

Anna & her husband are attentive, generous, gracious & kindest hosts! Their attention to every details are impeccable. The farmhouse is lovely with the most amazing views. Very peaceful relaxing environment! For the high quality of the accommodation they could/should ask for higher rates... Thank you very much for everything!
