"Magical, a place where nature, comfort and hospitality come together, and a lotttt of goats :)"

Manuela the owner was very nice. She welcomed us into her property as if we were friends. Treating us with nice surprises such as the home made house cheese and honey for breakfast. The goats, the dogs and the beautiful sun sets make this a unique stay.

What a superb stay, place, team etc. The hosts were delightful. The Senhora was so accomadating, their granddaughter Matilde was just the best host and guide. Nothing was impossible or difficult. The farm was well kept, the farmhands were engaging and happy to answer all questions. The breakfast was legendary and seemingly endless. The pool area was clean, perfect after a hot day hiking and the room was spacious, cool and well designed. It really was a lovely base for a few days.

"Relaxing goat farm in deep Alentejo"

The herdade is isolated from everything, a quiet location in Alentejo, near Portel. Rooms are new and very confortable and they managed to keep some sense of rural originality when renewing the facilities to have some 10-12 rooms to rent. Nice pool area, great spot for relaxing (there's not much, if anything, to do there so one needs to go on relax mood). Breakfast was very nice and staff were friendly and very attentive. Price is fair.

Access to the property could be improved - one has to do some 2km in a clay path.

"Great place the relax and rewind"

The place is very calm and peaceful and perfect for stargazing. The owner Manuel is very friendly too, and the rooms are comfy and brand new.

All good, maybe some bottles of water in the room to fight thirsty during the night would be great. But that’s a very minimal appointment

"Peaceful retreat, made to feel welcome ."

Beautiful location on the hill with amazing views. A sense of calm and quiet to relax. you have to drive about 3km our of Portel on unmade road to get to the property which is part of a working farm . The room was a good size and furnished in quaint traditional style. Manuela was a lovely host and we really appreciated her flexibility for us to have an early breakfast on departure. Breakfast was superb .

The pool was out of our service at our visit .
