We kwamen hier voor het uitzicht en dit stelde absoluut niet teleur! De vriendelijke eigenaar en zijn moeder verzorgden een lekker diner en ontbijt voor ons en de andere gasten.

Het hutje is vrij primitief en er lopen veel insecten, maar dat hoort ook bij de ervaring. De klamboe hielp goed tegen de insecten.

KowitFamstay provides unique, classically Thai hospitality. Locally produced food, incredible vista's, peace and quiet, perfect for my 5 days of retreat time. Walking in the valley and observing rural life, diverse flora and fauna, listening to the orchestra of flowing water, insects and birds - it was truely a taste of Eden.

I would love to avoid bottled water and reduce waste - perhaps an option for large drinking water dispensers or even locally produced clay water filters to align with sustaining this precious ecosystem.

Mr. Kowit was great! He was so kind and helpful. It is important to know that this property IS inside Doi Inthanon National Park. We were traveling to the Farm Stay from the summit which took maybe about 35 minutes down the mountain (my Google Maps told me it would take 55 minutes--please check with Mr. Kowit regarding the shortcut). Dinner is included. It was plentiful and delicious. There is a small dining area and a small cade/snack shop on the farm. Our cabin had beautiful views of nature and we really enjoyed walking the farm. We arrived right before sunset and left around 11AM the next day. I wish we had stayed longer! Also, if we had been feeling up for it, it might have been nice to drive back up to the summit for sunrise. Given that we arrived at the end of rainy season, the river was moving pretty fast! We did not swim, but I could imagine a slower moving river being great to enjoy during hot season! Breakfast was great, and we got to eat while overlooking the beauty of the farm in the morning. The previous night, the 4 of us laid on the cabin veranda for stargazing. The Milky Way was obvious that night and we saw several shooting stars. Coming from Bangkok, this was so refreshing and life-giving!

Our stay was GREAT and I highly recommend it. These are just some very small suggestions or things to be aware of: Some of the areas around (or under) the cabins could be tidied up a little bit. Please note that this IS a farm stay in cabins---there will be insects. You are in nature. The cabin does not have AC, but it has a fan. Although I would probably pay it again given that the cost included dinner, breakfast, and accommodation, compared to other stays in Thailand, this did seem a little expensive. We had to pay the entry cost into the park (300 baht per person for foreigners) in addition to the Farm Stay. I think that it would have been nice if those staying at the farm did not have to pay the park entrance fee given the cost of the Farm Stay to begin with. But that's just my opinion. This was overall a great stay, and I wish Mr. Kowit and his family all the best!
