Fantastic location with panoramic views of the mountains and an amazing dark sky so we could see the Milky Way. We had a home cooked chicken pie for supper which was delicious. The owner was extremely helpful and gave us excellent advice on what you do and see around the area. The flower walk around the farm was stunning.

Silence Is Golden. Maskam Guest Farm is one of the more remote self catering places we've ever stayed in .. but the first ever to have an air fryer! It is also has the best view from it's porch / outside seating area of anywhere we've stayed (inc. Olifants in the Kruger, and Camps Bay in Cape Town .. which have amazing views, just not necessarily seeable from your own chair when you're enjoying a drink or meal). The view of the Maskam mountain as the sun sets behind you is staggering: cliffs glowing gold and red, changing by the minute. And there's no man-made sounds either: just the frogs chirping in the dusk as the sun sets. Wonderful!
