Casa da Carriça - Serra da Estrela

O espaço onde a casa está situada, e incrível.

As camas e as almofadas são super desconfortáveis, além de ter um terceiro quarto mas é “fora” da casa, ou seja tem de sair de casa para ir para o quarto.

La ubicación de la casa están en un paraje espectacular. El acceso es algo complicado pero la dueña te acompaña hasta el final. Mucha tranquilidad y paz en el entorno. La casa tenía todo lo que necesitábamos.

Bastantes elementos del menaje estaban sucios. Cuando llegamos, la casa estaba bastante justa de temperatura y la primera noche pasamos algo de frío. La calefacción debería ponerse antes, para que a la llegada esté a la temperatura correcta. En una de las habitaciones hay mucha humedad. El mobiliario es posible que necesite una renovación.

Le cadre bucolique. Le calme. L’accueil chaleureux. La vue magnifique. Le logement pittoresque.

Prachtige omgeving. Rust en groen. Fantastisch uitzicht. Vriendelijke ontvangst.

Inrichting is verouderd. Derde slaapkamer in kelder achtige ruimte

The hostress was super nice and welcoming, and the place was just wonderful. I love how she kept the original stones from the house, and renovated around them. Beautiful and cozy place. Plus, we got a free tasting of the amazing homemade olive oil!

The stay was too short! I could stay there forever

The surroundings are beautiful. There is a lot of privacy. It’s a peaceful place. Excelent for a retreat and a good temporary place to do the Passadicos. During our stay the owner gave us a huge fresh bread. It was very nice and she was very kind.

- It was not what it looks like. It seems like a big house but it’s just two separate floors. We were 4 and thought we had 3 bedrooms (based on what we booked). When we got there there was only one floor available with 2 bedrooms. The day after we spoke with the lady and she said that we only booked one floor and probably there was a mistake because it would be more expensive. She let us stay with the second floor too though. - Overall the surroundings are beautiful but the house could be better. There is a cofee machine but no cofee or filter, there is no basic stuff to cook (e.g. oil, salt) - The heating is just a fireplace with very little capacity. We had it working for hours and we would only get warm when close to the fire. It was okay because we didn’t stay much in the house but if we wanted to stay more by the house it would be a struggle to handle the cold.
