Ben Tre Farm Stay

Ben Tre Farm Stay is a lovely quiet retreat only a couple of hours from the chaos of HCMC. We arrived late as we had done a tour to the Cu Chi tunnels in the afternoon, but Đúc and Quyên very kindly offered to make us some food which was delicious and most appreciated. The cabins are basic but comfortable - a/c works well and they had good mosquito nets for the beds (though we didn't see any - probably as it was the dry season) . Some have hammocks outside too. The grounds are a little haven next to the river - lots of lovely plants (beware of low hanging fruit on the paths). Đúc and Quyên are clearly working hard to maintain and update the property - chairs being painted, plants being planted. Breakfasts were the typical omelette and bread, with fruit and tea) coffee freely available. Beer and cold drinks were always available on an 'honesty bar' basis. They booked us on a boat tour (interesting coconut centred industry) with another group of guests which kept the price down - and in the morning we set off on the farm stay's bikes to the Ben Tre boat station. The bikes were basic and a little run-down but perfectly OK for the flat landscape - we took them out later on too to cycle through the villlages and find a spot for lunch. It's about a 20 minute walk into Ben Tre centre - we weren't really very taken with the town, but that's not the farm stay's fault. A grab bike back is only about 15k vnd. Overall a great spot for a couple of quiet days in the Mekong Delta, and good value.

No bedside lamp or bedside table - though that seems normal for Vietnamese homestays and farmstays! Most of the outdoor chairs were being refurbished so weren't available (by now I am sure they are)

Farmhouse bien située dans la nature sur le bord d'un petit bras du Mékong. Les chambres sont des belles petites cabanes dispersées sur le grand terrain. Des vélos sont disponibles gratuitement pour se perdre dans tous les petits chemins autour. La nourriture est excellente ! Les hôtes sont serviables et accueillants.

Environnement absolument magnifique. Grand jardin très arboré et bien entretenu. Cabane confortable avec vue magnifique sur le fleuve, moustiquaire. Endroits pour se relaxer avec chaise longue ou hamac. Repas du soir bon rapport qualité-prix. Personnel à l'écoute. Vélos à disposition, tout est plat donc même s'ils ne sont pas de dernière génération c'est pratique. Ne pas hésiter à prendre les petites routes aux alentours qui sont très sympas

The wooden houses are in a wonderful scenery, with lots of green area around. It's the perfect place if you want some calm days. The food was always delicious, and the hosts helped us with everything: we got the bikes for a tour of the delta, they booked us the bus tickets back to HCMC, ...

Lieu sauvage au bord d'un des canaux du Mékong.

Quelque peu bruyant suivant l'activité des habitations voisines.

Les personnes sont vraiment adorables, bungalows impeccable avec vue sur un bras du mekong. Prêt de vélo et nourriture excellente.

Liebevoll gestaltete Unterkunft mit kleinen Hüttchen direkt am Wasser. Wunderschöner gepflegter Garten.

Frühstück sehr westlich, das war ein bisschen schade.
