A Five-Star Stay: A Home Away From Home From the moment we arrived, we were swept off our feet by the charm and comfort of this delightful rental. Nestled in the heart of a picturesque neighborhood, the property promised a serene getaway and delivered beyond expectations. The host was the epitome of hospitality, providing us with a warm welcome.

Beautiful location, although remote. Staff wonderful and very helpful. We really enjoyed the stay here.

Wow what an experience. The most picturesque setting, surrounded by olive groves and close to the lake. Huge rooms with big balcony. Run by a very welcoming family who made us an incredible meal all made with local produce. They only do dinner on certain days so make sure to check and book in with them. They also run cooking classes which we unfortunately missed out on but looked great. Pool area is such a bonus, lively and good fun with a great bar serving drinks and lunches. Great walking spots around and near the lake. One of the evenings we stayed they weren’t serving dinner so we went to nearby supermarket and had dinner on the balcony. You can also get into Matera that has loads of restaurants or they are happy to recommend (and book) you local nearby restaurants. Overall a must stay and an unlike any other!

L’Assiolo breathes peace and quiet outside of Matera (25 min drive) surrounded by olive and orange groves. Coming from three days in lively Napoli we enjoyed this contrast. Franco, il maestro, is a smiling and warm hearted gentleman and will serve you a proper Italian breakfast if you get out of bed in time ;-) Room was nice as I have experienced in agriturismos otherwhere in Italy.

The people were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable, giving on the wonderful patio with a view of the lake. We happened into a large family lunch (pranzo) and we're welcome to take part; it was possibly the best meal I've ever enjoyed. The breakfast is large and delicious, including home made bread and cake.

The WiFi was a little temperamental.

We had a great time in L’Assiolo! We felt very welcome because of the kindness of the family. The location is very good, close to a lot of nice places and surrounded by nature. We had the oppurtunity to have dinner with typical local specialties and it was very good. We really recommand this place!

The rooms are very clean with good beds. Nice view from the balcony and we could hear the owls (l'assiolo) in the evening.

We booked this agriturismo because of it's restaurant and swimming pool. Sadly the restaurant was closed during our stay and the pool packed with locals because of celebrations. We where not informed upon arrival and the hotel is quite remote. Missing some comfortable chairs to sit during the evening. Sunbeds are 10 euro per person a day. We did feel a bit unwelcome.
