Hermitage Huisies

It is a lovely place where you can see Nadia’s eye for the detail. The hot pot with a class of wine during sundown was just amazing. The kitchen is very well equipped. Our son loved feeding the donkeys, playing with the dog or swimming in the pool. Recommend 100% - really great price- value.

My stay at Hermitage Huisies in Swellendam was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the host, and the serene atmosphere of this charming retreat set the tone for a perfect getaway. Nestled in a peaceful valley with breathtaking views of the Langeberg Mountains, the setting couldn’t be more idyllic. The cottage we stayed in was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the cosy fireplace for those cool evenings and the wood fire hot tub where we could enjoy a relaxing soak surrounded by nature. The farm setting added a special touch, with donkeys, horses, and sheep grazing nearby. Hermitage Huisies is the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, and I can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone looking to escape into nature while still enjoying top-notch amenities. Whether you're seeking adventure or just a peaceful retreat, this is the place to be. We will definitely be returning!

We had a lovely stay here. The animals were a real treat, feeding the horses and the donkeys. Nadia was lovely too. Its a lovely place on a working farm, so if you have kids - this place will be a real family treat!

There are so many rules. Its actually a little off putting to be honest. Also, Id personally prefer it if all costs were just added onto the actual booking (or at least most of them). Add on for pets, add on for hot tub, add on for wood, add on for blitz. Its just too much admin.

Friendliness of the host, cleaniness, comfort

This is a very tranquil space. The home is small and cozy with breathtaking views. The location is near many attractions. This is the perfect getaway to break away from the busy and noisy city life.
