Heuwelsig Farm Cottages

The Mountain room was spacious, clean, well equipped with a comfortable bed & a good shower. Our welcome was excellent & Eunica was extremely helpful. It was fun to see zebra, donkeys & springbok grazing in the field below, The outdoor space at the back was private & useful for sun-batheing.

The water in the natural pool, which was little bigger than a splash pool, was green, slimy & uninviting with frogs, frogspawn & tadpoles swimming. When we visited, we saw no-one attempting to swim in it . Not the accomodation if you want to swim! There was no outdoor shower to the unit instead of the pool to cool down in the heat as the hot tub situated there was also full of frogspawn!. The lighting in the sitting area was very poor - OK for watching TV but not good enough for reading or writing.

Very comfortable studio apartment with a great balcony one side and views over the paddock the other, with zebras and springbok. Very comfortable bed. Had a great wine tasting and pizza at Leopards Leap winery which was very close by.

Die Zufahrt war nicht einfach da die Sicherheits-Tore keine Sprechfunkverbindung hatten . Es war schwierig jemanden zu erreichen

the location was good

the signage to Heuwelsig was not very good and as my sat nav packed up on the way there it proved difficult to find.

Really enjoyed our stay! Wonderful location in the fields, with great views, still not far to Franschhoek or the wineries. Place was cute and clean. Staff was really friendly and helpful. The natural pool was also a plus.

Eunice was charming and went out of her way to make us feel welcome.

The unit would be enhanced by the addition of scissors, wooden spoons, serving spoons, peeler hairdryer and an electric kettle. Some guests want to cook their own meals!
