"Basic, good value for money but very close to the busy road"

Super friendly staff and a well equipped kitchen. Rooms are basic but good value for money and clean.

This place sits on the edge of the N2, a fairly busy road, which we could hear through the night from our room. Maybe if you're at the back of the property it wouldn't be so loud. Wasn't a massive issue but wasn't something we were aware of or expecting.

"I know I was a last minute booking .. but you can definitely do better!"

They accepted a late check in time which made stopping overnight to break a long drive easier. I was grateful for this.

They were not expecting me. It was dark and raining, and there were no signs or anything to let me know I had arrived at the right place. I had to guess my way reception, let myself in and call for help, and the man seemed totally confused why I was there. It was not welcoming. He seemed unsure where to put me. My room was so close to the N2 it felt like the trucks were rattling my windows all night. The bedding was stained and had hairs on it and I was certain it had not been changed. I did not feel comfortable calling the man back to my room to complain or ask for clean bedding after his strange reception of me, so I covered my pillow with a T-shirt and slept in my clothes. I left before anyone was around in the morning.
