Agriturismo Il Covo del Solengo

There are places you visit, and there are places that stay with you long after you've left. This is one of the latter. The view over the Umbrian hills is simply breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere encourages you to slow down and enjoy every moment. We truly appreciated the thoughtful room upgrade offered by our hosts, a gesture that made us feel genuinely welcome from the very first day. The homemade food prepared with care by the family, the local wine enjoyed at sunset, the authentic agriturismo atmosphere, and the warmth of the people turn every evening into a beautiful memory. Trili, the lovely family dog, and the charming Scottish Highland cows with their iconic fringes add even more character to this special place. And as for Papa... sometimes a place is defined by its landscape, other times by the people who call it home. Those who meet him will understand. A special mention also goes to Francesco and Ada, whose attention to detail, kindness, and genuine hospitality transform a stay into a truly authentic experience. It is easy to see that everything they have created here has been built with passion and a deep respect for people. We arrived as guests and left feeling as though we had been welcomed into a family. A place built with hard work, passion, and heart—one that we recommend wholeheartedly.

We just wish we had stayed longer.

Abbiamo soggiornato Al Covo del Solengo per qualche giorno a fine maggio e siamo stati benissimo! Francesco e la sua famiglia sono persone meravigliose, accoglienti e genuine, ci hanno fatto sentire a casa sin da subito. All’arrivo ci hanno cambiato camera dandocene una più grande dal momento che era libera, molto graziosa, letto comodo e tutti i servizi necessari. La colazione era ottima, variegata, avevamo a disposizione ben 5 torte diverse fatte in casa, con pane, yogurt, marmellate, salumi e formaggi il tutto preparato da loro. Il sabato sera ci siamo anche fermati qui a cenare con pizza e antipasto con salumi e formaggi, tutto squisito! Se state cercando un luogo dove potervi rilassare e immergere nella natura, accerchiati da animali e da persone accoglienti siete nel posto giusto!

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno davvero piacevole! Un grazie speciale ad Adriano, Francesco e Ada: persone splendide, sempre cordiali, disponibili e attente, capaci di rendere l’esperienza ancora più autentica e speciale. Colazione super con prodotti a km 0 di ottima qualità: yogurt buonissimo, salumi e formaggi spettacolari, tutto genuino e preparato con grande cura. Da non perdere anche la pizza del sabato sera, davvero eccezionale! Inoltre la posizione è ottima per visitare alcuni dei borghi più belli dell’Umbria, come Spello, Rasiglia, Montefalco e Bevagna. Un grazie particolare a Francesco anche per i preziosi consigli: bellissima l’esperienza del ponte tibetano, raggiungibile in circa mezz’ora d’auto dall’agriturismo, davvero unica! Tutto eccellente, consigliamo vivamente! ✌🏻

L’agriturismo è un’oasi di pace ideale per chi desidera staccare i pensieri in un contesto meraviglioso. I proprietari sono persone speciali, genuine e premurose, ti fanno sentire a casa per davvero! Inoltre trasformano e cucinano i loro prodotti, garantendo una qualità e una freschezza imbattibili. Le camere sono spaziose, molto pulite e curate in ogni minimo particolare. La posizione è strategica per visitare le bellezze della zona, pur rimanendo fuori dal caos. ​Andarsene è stato difficile: la malinconia della partenza è la prova di quanto siamo stati bene, grazie di tutto!

A fantastic end to our vacation sums it up! From the moment we stepped onto the property we knew it felt different… this wasn’t going to be a typical stay! Having spent nearly two months in Italy, a farmstay was much needed and glad that we found the perfect spot (thanks to another guest who recommended this place at another BnB)! From the fabulous breakfasts to the delectable dinners, this must be Valtopina/Umbria’s best kept secret! Francesco & Aida were top notch hosts who mingled with the guests as if we were all family! Adriano made for a great conversation and especially nice to see how the family is all together pitching in! Did i mention the pizza party that ended with some music and dancing? A place that is perfect for kids too? Where else do you find a place like this?? Perfect in every sense - don’t change a thing- you have something special here!! Thank you for the best ending to our vacation! Until we meet again (because i know we will)!! ❤️
