Location. Heart of Douro and closed to everything. Super quiet. Garfield the friendly cat was a wonderful bonus ;)

Toilets in the middle of the open bathroom. Not a deal breaker but not so great either.

It was beautiful, quiet and very comfortable. The outside areas were beautiful, although it was too cold to take advantage of them. Daniela was lovely, helpful and a wonderful hostess. The breakfast was perfect—plentiful and delicious, especially good breads and pastry.

The only thing that was a little uncomfortable and weird was the toilet in the room, with no privacy or isolation. Otherwise the small room was beautifully designed.

Our hosts communication was excellent, we were contacted prior to arrival to make sure someone was there to meet us. Breakfast was excellent, fresh produce fruit and pastries and cooked eggs if we wanted.

A strange arrangement of the bathroom in the room, a certain lack of privacy from one’s partner, although this is easily overcome and made up for by the quality of the room, the linen the towels etc.

The peacefulness, orange trees, donkeys and the lovely staff. Delicious breakfasts and scrambled eggs

We would have preferred a door to the loo for privacy instead of open plan

We paid for a king room with a queen bed and were placed in a standard double room. While the beds are the same the rooms are a different size. Make sure you are given the room size you have paid for. Even if the rooms are the same price we advise that you check you are given the correct room. Swimming pool was closed on October 15 as per owner and not October 31 as indicated. Owner arises there is no hot tub ad listed. After which owner advised the hot tub needed to be pre booked and at a charge of $90 euros. We have emailed booking.com and they have yet to contact us to review this matter.

Stunning location, beautiful panorama. Friendly & helpful staff. Beautiful rooms and very clean. Great swimming pool. Breakfast was delicious using local produce. Would highly recommend this place.

offer an early check-in, due to our flight we got in early but not allowed to use the pool whilst we waited. travelling with 2 young kids and it was close to 40 degrees in heat.
