Elena-Stella Apartments Arillas Corfu

The location is beautiful, feels like out nowhere, but a short walk gets you to a minimarket and delicious bakery.

Everything was great, place, pool, apartment. Clean and cosy.

Elena was simply the best in everything as a host. I would stay here again.

Spacious and light apartment with a nice balcony with a table and chairs. The bed was really big and comfortable. Really nice smelling soaps in the shower including shower gel, shampoo and conditioner! Fantastic, big and clean swimming pool with a number of sun loungers and umbrellas. Very peaceful and quiet location and just a short walk into Arillas town (~10 minutes) where there are a number of great restaurants (we recommend Athina Taverna!). Great base for exploring the rest of Corfu with a rented car (all of North island less than ~1 hour drive away). The lovely host left surprise treats for us as we had mentioned it was our anniversary which was lovely! Great place for our 8 night stay.

Relatively basic amenities (e.g. no oil despite cooking facilities and only 2 tea bags supplied for duration and not replaced once used). Toilet seat was a bit wobbly. The host was really nice but wasn’t around much for any questions but it did mean we had a nice independent stay (and Arillas Travel tourist office was super helpful!) Overall, these are super minor things and we would definitely stay again!

Ad a solo traveller without scooter, you need to walk a bit to go to the beach :)

We had a very nice stay! Stella is a very good host, she picked us up from the airport and took us back, as she also does shuttle service. We liked that the flat was of a reasonable size and that we could have breakfast on the balcony every day.  The pool is big and usually, there was nobody around so we could enjoy it (with the bonus of no screaming children around). The balcony door had a mosquito net which was a surprise to find. It would be perfect to have also a net in the door kitchen (if it is possible) to allow the breeze to come in from one side to the other of the flat without getting mosquitos in. Another surprise was that the flat got serviced every day. Although it had air conditioning, and this was very appreciated, the place would benefit from having a fan to use in the kitchen for example, instead of the air conditioning in certain days. I would recommend taking short boat trips to the islands nearby, however, I would not recommend going to Paleokastritsa during August, as there is no space for your towel. Bear in mind that no shop around Arillas town sells beach chairs, or you either have a rented car to go to Corfu to buy them or you bring them in your luggage.

The walk to the beach is around 10-15 minutes according to your speed. This isn’t much, however, at lunchtime it can be hard to do with the heat of August, so we decided to either stay the whole day on the beach or by the pool.

The swimming pool was great, and the location was perfect for visiting beaches in the northwest side of the island. We loved the area and especially liked Agios Georgios beach. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare breakfasts, bed was comfy, and we appreciated a lot the bedroom air conditioning in August! The sunset view from the balcony was another plus. Everything was clean and comfortable, though the staff was a bit enthusiastic coming to clean while we were still in the room one day :D

The bathroom is a bit uncomfortable, with a sulphuric smell coming from the pipes, small shower, and only the window for ventilation. It would have been nice to have a fan to use in the kitchen and/or bathroom to reduce the heat.
