We often stay here on our way home from Port Elizabeth. It is a quiet and tranquil sheep farm in the Free State on which one experiences true farm hospitality and a warm welcome. While it is simple, it is comfortable, with piping hot water and a warm bed, good food and good company. Supper on request, served with delicious Karoo lamb. We had car key and battery problems and Abrie was fantastic in helping get us on the road. We look forward to catching up when we stay. Thanks for another happy stay.

Beautiful and peaceful.

We love staying at Garingboom, its become a family tradition. My parents in law used to always overnight on their way up from Knysna. Its the 3rd time we have overnighted. A home away from home. You know dinner is going to be home cooked traditional karoo lamb with veggies. The breakfast is hearty and filling.

Nothing, other than perhaps now that the son has taken over, perhaps the rooms can be slightly modernised. Having said this, it shouldn't loose its karoo charm.
