Sometimes you stumble across a place that has a magic formula, it is authentic, beautiful and natural. These experiences remind you that travelling is about the places we go but also the people we meet, the food we eat and the memories we make. This place has it is all and more. The owners have an incredible dream and know how to make every person feel welcome and extremely well fed. The food is wonderful, local, organic, varied and made with passion. It is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

What an amazing place to relax and recharge your batteries. The farm is located in such lovely & quiet surroundings when time just stops!!! Loved the outdoor cinema, swimming in the river and the pool. Special thanks to our host Anibal for being so accommodating and treating us with his wine and delicious food. Everything was perfect!!!

I had a mixed experience at Verde Água Agroturismo. On the positive side, the property offered a delightful family farm atmosphere, with clean surroundings and friendly animals to interact with. The outdoor cinema setup, feeding the animals, enjoying sunset from the balance bed, and the nearby river with water sports options were definite highlights. Also, the well-designed rooms, comfortable beds, and fantastic breakfast contributed positively to my overall stay. The good factor about this place as that they have a cooking area, all equipped, which you don’t see often in other places.

My arrival was marred by noisy kids disrupting our relaxation, and their constant presence, even in the swimming pool, became annoying. The pool itself didn't seem very clean.

We came for a relaxing few days in Douro Valley, and although it rained for some of the time we were there, we were able to enjoy the farm and relax in our super cozy room. Johana and Anibal were amazing hosts, made an amazing empanadas dinner, and were available for any questions or to give out recommendations. The breakfast was great with a wide variety of food. The farm is relaxing and you can hike in the surrounding area all the way down to the river. If you plan on going to the Paiva Walkways hike, this location is great too.

The location was well known in advance, and was good for some of the things we wanted to do, but it's not the "classic" location you would stay at for most of the Douro Valley touristic areas.

The owners Joanna and Anibal are exceptional hosts , they strive to make their guests feel very much at home, despite it being a working farm . It’s rare to meet people whom are so passionate about their business. Huge thank and you would highly recommend !

Very difficult to be critical as all aspects were good , my impression was that it would be more rural

We had a wonderful stay at verde agua. The owners have created a very special place that combines rustic farm stay with the comfort of a hotel. We stayed with our 3 kids who loved exploring the land, swimming in the pool and seeing the animals. We hardly left the farm as it was so relaxing there. Food options were delicious, healthy and all made from the fruits of their land. Eating outside every day was a real pleasure! The valley in which it’s situated is beautiful with lots of things to do locally. We look forward to coming back :)
