Casa Branca

We loved our stay at Casa Branca and we really felt at home. The rooms and facilities were extremely clean, there were many small touches you'd not expect from a place in this budget (e.g. biscuits, tea and coffee in the room and in the kitchen, plenty of towels, extra pillows). The garden was lovely with plenty of places to sit and lounge, and the rooms were bright and airy (much better than on the photos). The kitchen was well-stocked with a separate fridge, cupboard and utensils for the guests (kitchen shared with the family and even though we cooked quite a lot we always had the kitchen to ourselves). The family hosting us was so lovely and welcoming, it felt like stepping into an aunty's house (but there was no expectation to chat if we didn't feel like it). We learnt a lot about life on the island and the connection between the Azores and Bermuda simply from chatting with the hostess. Would come back and definitely recommend!

The beds could have been a bit comfier (the mattress was a bit hard and the bed could use some tightening as it was creaky). Having stayed in 4 places in Sao Miguel, hard mattresses seem to be the norm, so might just be a cultural difference / what's available.

Everything was perfect for us: the location, the house and the garden. Moreover, the hosts were very pleasant. I definitely recommend them.

Nice host, the room was comfy, the bathroom was clean. There is no AC but the ceiling ventilator is perfectly enough.

I liked everything - kind hosts, beautiful territory, very beautiful house. We enjoyed peace and nature. Good location to see the east side of the island.

Amazing accommodation with such a beautiful garden!! Rooms are extremely spacious and the bed was very comfy (our best nights sleep in the Azores). The property was built by the owners and you can tell they take pride in keeping it clean and accommodating for their guests. I really wish we had spent all of our nights at Casa Branca, next time we visit I will make sure we do :) The area is a 15 minute drive from Ponta Delagda, however Lagoa has shops, places to eat and is relatively close to Vila da Campo. Would recommend this place to everybody.

Garden is so nice to chill and relax after all day of exploring the island. Also, room and bathroom were very clean and spacious.
