Libertas Guest Farm

we staid at sloepstil: it is a stailish, lush, on the open field experience! we loved it! its exactli like in the fotos. we felt really safe and locked the doors only when we weren’t around. the evenings were really cold (beginning of october) but there was even a bed heater and lots of blankets to get cosy on the outside sofa. you can cook or grill and the kitchen has everything you need. but you need to love the outside life otherwise i would choose one of the other cottages on the property. the property itself is stunning and the river trail was fabulous.

We absolutely loved our stay. We were a little unsure about the open-air living space at first, but it works beautifully. It really brings a sense of peace and connection to nature. The morning sun streams in perfectly, making it an idyllic place to wake up. And when the chill sets in, the heated blankets and room heater turn the bedroom into a wonderfully cozy hideaway. The hot tub was the cherry on top; perfect for soaking under the stars (and full moon in our case). Linda is also a gem. We unfortunately bothered her more than I'd have liked to, but she was always willing to help.

On one of our nights, heavy winds made it difficult to sleep. The steel structure and the gusts weren’t exactly the best of friends. And if you have a small bladder, be prepared to brave the cold at night for a trip to the outside (covered) toilet. The outdoor shower (not covered) was certainly an experience. It was refreshing and unforgettable on a calm day, but a little less charming when the rain and wind joined in.

We thoroughly loved our stay at Libertas Farmhouse! Beautifully decorated house with lots of space for 2 families and much attention to detail like games, welcome note, fresh flowers and chocolates on the beds. Stunning views and sunsets from the stoep. We loved hiking the rivertrail and seimming in the pool rocks as well!

The pump-system of the taps needs some figuring out.
