Absolutely the best place to unplug and enjoy nature . Beautiful flowers and birdlife and even spotted a family of meerkats.

Everything as always so great in the farm , maybe just a bench at the dam for those of us who would rather watch the fishing then actually fish.

The location was stunning and the cottage was well equipped. We were lucky to be able to watch sheep shearing and Neil explained the process to us, fascinating . Robyn's chocolate cake was delicious.

The dirt road was a bit of a mission but we knew in advance and managed ok in our SUV.

We arrived at a closed gate, I called the number on Booking.com which was wrong. Found a number on the internet which went unanswered. Eventually someone opened the gate for us. We drove a very bad road to the lodge which we found locked and we were without any cellphone reception. After an hour we decided to drive back out, only to be locked in by the farm gate again. I eventually got hold of the owner who said that she never got the booking.

Incredible stay! Had such a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying nature at it's best. Probably the most well stocked self-catering stay we've been to yet. Can't wait to come back

The chocolate cake as we arrived was a lovely surprise. Homely touch.

Due to fast flowing river from heavy rains & overgrown areas tricky to access parts of river.

Beautiful and peaceful , lack of Vodacom reception an added bonus that really helped us relax . They provided a generous amount of perfectly dry firewood that made fire starting easy even for a novice.

Weather made hiking a no go but maybe a detailed map of the farm and walking routes and lengths would have been a help to plan a walk in between the rain.
