Coorg Bliss Estate Stay

PROS Location: Cottages were bang in the middle of lush greenery and coffee bushes. Close enough to the main House but distant enough to get privacy. Bon Fire and Barbeque: At an additional cost we were given the facility to enjoy a bon fire as well as marinated meat and a Barbeque pit so we could have a very enjoyable evening together as a family. Very memorable time for the kids. Staff: The staff was very friendly, polite and respectful. They gave adequate service. Hosts: The hosts Ashwin and Vinod were easy going, hospitable, quick to assist and willing to make our stay as comfortable as possible. After we had issues on checking in they did their best to remedy the problems as well as offer us apologies for any inconveniences. The Hosts get a 👍🏽 from us. To sum up the review Would we come back to this property again? Definitely. It has everything going for it. It's beautiful surroundings, the rooms are spacious, gracious hosts, good location to the town except for these two mentioned issues.

CONS Electrical Issues: due to some problems on our journey we reached late in the evening. They were kind enough to let us check in late at 11pm and they had a staff person wait for us to do the handover. However they failed to inform us about the electrical issues. I guess they have a regular shut off in the night and then the power runs on an inverter but when we were there the inverter went off after half hour of us checking in and didn't come on till 9am. It was a very difficult situation since it was pitch black, we didn't know where anything was located. we also didn't know who to approach since we didn't have the contact number staff who let us in. So we just moved in darkness the entirety of the night. Bath room Cleanliness: We understand it's home stay and it's out in the wilderness so we were sort of expecting maybe bugs or things like that. But they had some serious cleanliness issues in the bathroom. It wasn't some minor dirty corners or anything. There was thick mold growing on the sink and the cabinet and in some places actual fungus. My nieces and brother in law were horrified and refused to use the facilities. Of course after it was brought to the management's notice it was cleaned thoroughly however it shouldn't have been there to begin with. While I do have pictures of this but I don't want to put off future guests as the rest of the property is idyllic. I do hope though that the management does make sure regular cleaning is done there and basic hygiene level is maintained. It's a health safety issue

Climate

Very friendly and hospitable staff. Great food throughout across meals. The cottage rooms were very clean and spacious. The location was quiet and calm, ideal for a getaway. They also helped organizer a lovely campfire and barbecue. Luckily for us, the stay was pet friendly too.

Service was at times slow as food etc took time. Last minute orders are not possible. The barbecue marinade was a bit too spicy and the veg barbecue left much to be desired. The main Homestay rooms need better maintenance as they felt a bit dingy and worn out, and aren't comparable with the cottage rooms.

Location, Internet connectivity is good. Accessible to small shops within 2 kms. Food & Room Service is good as well. We did have a smart TV connectivity; that is a plus.

Awesome experience,this resort has a great ambiance,Rooms were extra spacious and clean,room was close to few of the wedding venues so we ended up booking this place.Food was great but had limited menu.This place has seating facilities for a group of people we ended spending more time here.Far from noise spread across acres of land this place has given us cozy experience .The staff was well acquainted and friendly .

Few suggestions from our stay Can have more varieties of food and intercom facility for rooms. One of the rooms did not have locking facilities and geyser which should not have been the case.
