"Nice people, but presentation a let down."

The room was immaculate and the owners very pleasant and attentive.

The price was excessive, to be honest. At this price, I would have expected a cooked breakfast - we received only a continental breakfast. The outside of the property when we arrived was a let down. While we appreciate the area is in a drought it could have done with a good tidy up. First impressions were not great at all.

Last minute booking. Owners were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was lovely and we were given a tour around the grounds from the owner, which was a nice little touch.

"Lovely old homestead and all that implies. Excellent breakfast!"

Homestead is in the middle of "nowhere" and that is a neat "feeling". Space, geography and colors reminded us of our childhood home in Marlborough.

It was veryy hot - maybe a fan in the room might have been a good option.

Beautiful old house very grand. Lovely hosts. We stayed here while doing the two day garden tour. It will be interesting to visit again to see all the garden projects that are being done.

This beautiful home stead is like stepping back into a wonderful world of the past. It's a treat ! Like no other place, you will encounter, it has a feeling of an 'olden day times' transporting you back into a time of the past, with timeless relics, mirrors, porcelain and clocks.This is a must stay, the room is huge and the beds so comfy with a contiential breaky! I can't recommend this place enough! I will be back ♥️
