Miners Hut

Every aspect of 'The Miner's Hut' experience, from communications, directions, the location and the 'Hut is absolutely perfect. We had a lovely cosy stay in winter - highly highly recommended for that. we chilled and did some work as well. Would be super amazing in spring or summer, I am sure.

The hut was equipment beyond our expectations. We found it had all required utensils including radio and board games for downtime alot of thought had been given to decor and finishing touches Hooded blankets hung beautifully on the door for sitting outside The cat and ponies welcomed us once we had parked

For us everything was good

The whole experience was amazing. From start to finish, you really feel secluded with no technology it is lovely and the views were delightful. Not to mention the very friendly cat and the ponies that topped the holiday off for us! We stayed there to go and visit the Eden project and it was literally a 4 minute drive so definitely worth staying in if visiting there. There were lots of other sights around that were lovely too. The hut was easy to find using the what three words and easy to access.

The mattress was slightly uncomfortable and the towel rail didn't work but everything else outweighed those factors.

We went to chill, and be by ourselves, and that’s exactly how it was, nice to be able to cook on the fire outside as well as cooking availability inside the hut, bed very comfortable, seating area outside very relaxing, fire outside to light if the night air gets too cold, the hut is nice and warm, lovely shower, everything is there that you need. The ponies are beautiful and so photogenic 😊, a beautiful cat that is so friendly and welcoming, lovely walks on the clay trail, the owners can’t do enough for you, but also leave you to it. This is a place not to be missed, you really need to visit it, it’s what you need to get away and discover yourself and chill out away from everything. Beautiful 🤩

if i have to say a negative i can possibly think of is we could have done with some fresh towels at some point as by day 3 they started to smell a bit damp

A great use of limited space. Very well equipped. Spotlessly clean. Cheerful little place. Great location.

Inside the hut, because of lack of space, there were only 'dining' type chairs or the bed to sit on. Not very relaxing. Great place if the weather is good because you can sit outside in the little garden, not so good when it's raining as you're in a tiny space on not particularly comfortable upright chairs. We were just unlucky with the weather so couldn't sit outside in the evening, so back from the restaurant and early to bed. I thought it was quite expensive.

Gorgeous location, very well placed for the Eden Project. The Hut is very clean, and has everything we needed. Got good use out of the lovely fire pit too, and was such a joy to see the lovely ponies. Most of all however, we were joined on our stay by the sweetest, most cuddliest cat ever! He was a very gracious host!
