The Old Wagon House

I stayed here with my daughter for her birthday, and it was a perfect place to stay. There was everything we required, it was close to many of the interesting places to visit. It is in the middle of a farm so is calm and peaceful with beautiful animals. We were even given a tour of the farm on a small farm vehicle which was very interesting and we enjoyed it immensely. The Wi Fi was very good, there is a TV however we did not have this on once as there was just so much else to do. Our hosts were friendly and went out of their way to offer advice and information.

Not long enough holiday

Everything was fantastic. The location was amazing and the folks that own the place were very friendly. It was spacious and comfortable and all of the facilities worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend staying here. Also, the communication beforehand was great. They checked up on me to make sure everything was okay and to recommend some places to explore.

Sheila and Jimmy were very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. Jimmy even took the time to show us around on his large farm in his 4wd vehicle, showing us their livestock of deers and sheep.

The accommodation was beautiful with everything you needed. It was on a large farm, surrounded by stunning scenery . George and Sheila are amazing. George showed us around the farm on a little tractor. There are over 600 deer on the farm and 1000 sheep. There are beautiful country walks nearby.

There was nothing that I didn't like

A cottage with history and in a nice rural location.

A little bit draughty during a big storm, but once the fire was lit things warmed up.

Simply stunning. Perfection. Idyllic location and surrounding farmland combined with a renovated workshop fit for a King. Thankyou Sheila.

Actually could not find a fault, though why would you look… from the coffee cups to the stain glass windows it was faultless.

Hospitality was fantastic. Sheila and Jim were great hosts, we did a farm tour and were invited to a community gathering.

The property had been carefully and thoughtfully equipped with everything that could possibly be needed.It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and excellent value. It was an added bonus to find that although originally offered without Wi-Fi, it was now available.The owners were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect- a beautiful setting on a working farm - very quiet and peaceful, yet so easy for touring and visiting popular places. Many thanks Sheila and Jimmy!

We had a lovely stay here for a couple of nights. It was clean and well equipped, the kitchen had everything we needed, including an oven, hob and microwave. There was plenty of space to chill and relax. The wood burning stove made it particularly cosy and warm in the evening. Check in was easy, even though we arrived earlier than anticipated, and Shelia made sure we were ok and had everything we needed (including plenty of wood for the fire). Location is good for exploring the local area, Bodmin Moor and both the north and south coast. Would happily recommend and would stay here again.
