Sinceramente non capisco come le recensioni precedenti parlino di un’accoglienza calorosa da parte della signora Elena. Nel nostro caso, purtroppo, l’accoglienza è stata molto fredda e distaccata. Premettiamo che il 16 agosto era una giornata molto calda, e al nostro arrivo in camera non abbiamo trovato nemmeno una bottiglia d’acqua. La stanza, priva di climatizzatore, era invivibile: circa 28-29 gradi interni, paragonabile a un forno. Alla nostra domanda sui climatizzatori, ci è stato risposto che ci sono solo le predisposizioni, ma “non sono mai serviti”. Mi permetto di invitare la signora Elena a trascorrere una notte come quella che abbiamo vissuto noi, per rendersi conto se davvero non servono. A causa del caldo insopportabile, dopo tre docce e una notte tormentata, alle 3 di notte abbiamo deciso di interrompere il soggiorno e andarcene. I bambini erano esausti e stressati. I ventilatori presenti erano rumorosissimi e assolutamente insufficienti a rendere vivibile la stanza. Oltre al caldo, un altro grande problema è stata la pulizia: la stanza era sporca, con peli di animali sul divano letto (tanto da impedirci di farci dormire i bambini), ragnatele e sporcizia diffusa. Per 149 € a notte, non pretendo il lusso, ma almeno la pulizia di base. Alla nostra segnalazione, la proprietaria ha negato l’evidenza, sostenendo di aver pulito al meglio: difficile immaginare come sarebbe stata la stanza se non avesse dato “il meglio di sé”. In conclusione, non consiglio assolutamente questa struttura, soprattutto nel periodo estivo senza climatizzatori: si rischia solo una notte insonne in una stanza invivibile. Inoltre, la mancanza di pulizia rende l’esperienza ancora più negativa. Abbiamo soggiornato in diversi hotel, B&B e cascine, ma una situazione così spiacevole non ci era mai capitata prima. Non consigliabile.

Nothing at all!!!!!!!!

We didn’t like anything. This was the worst experience of my life. It’s beyond comprehension how such accommodations are even listed on Booking. I traveled with a group of four children to attend a karate championship—just one adult responsible for all of them. When we arrived at the so-called accommodation, there was no heating. It was 14°C inside, and they refused to turn on the heat, claiming it was 20°C during the day. There was no hot water. The listing clearly stated that breakfast was included—there was none. We had to go out into the city to eat, and when we returned, the place was locked with no one in sight. We knocked for over an hour. Eventually, one of the children managed to enter through the back of the house and open the door for us. Inside, it was filthy—cockroaches, mice, dirt everywhere. Absolutely disgusting. We were supposed to stay five nights, but after three nights of hell, we finally managed to find alternative accommodation nearby. This was a nightmare. I absolutely do not recommend this place—God forbid anyone else ends up here. I have already filed a formal complaint with Booking. It is unacceptable that they fail to ensure even a minimum level of safety and hygiene.

Rooms did not have numbers on their doors. So, I made my own tag (no. 5) on my room door. Staff (owner?) spoke Italian only, but used an electronic translator. Breakfast was amateurish. Three tired jam jars were all almost empty. The residual on their bottom had obviously got some water for refreshing and moistening them up. Did not have any reason to touch them. Croissants with butter did their job together with a boiled egg. Lets keep in mind I was the only guest in the house.

No reason to complain. The place met my expectations. I don't have anything against a new stay in Cascina Gilli. The noisy rooster on the neighboring lot was just a funny detail. Agriturismo!

Breakfast was very basic. Not what I expected from a farmhouse.
