Aldeia de Pontes - Castro Laboreiro

This is a tiny idyllic fairytale village. It's just gorgeous with stone houses and a stream running through the village. Each of the houses has been beautifully restored. They are exceptionally comfortable and fully self-contained with a kitchen. It is immaculately clean with a good shower. There is parking in the village and a pool to swim & poolside chairs to relax on.

This is a dream village tucked away down a steep mountain road south of Castro L. Perfect for people who love beauty, peace and quiet and nature. Here one could finally fully connect to the landscape. Hosts amazing.

We would come back to Portugal just to stay here again.

This place is a dream place for anyone visiting Gerês. Pure mountain charm and the perfect get-away for those trying to have a few days off the beatn path.

Only negative ( and it is a small) remark. The bed was not top notch comfortable as everything else was, but far from preventing a comfortable stay.

Gorgeous little house, beautifully presented, spotlessly clean with everything you need. The bed was large and comfortable, good hot shower. The village was absolutely beautiful and the location outstanding with plenty of interesting walks right from the door. We had birds nesting on the balcony which was a joy to watch. Loved our stay here.

The van loads of tourists turning up on Saturday evening. Some were polite and let you enjoy your outside space with a smile and hello which was nice, but others would stand at the fence taking photos of the house and patio with you in it or talking loudly over you while you're trying to enjoy your own conversation and eat your meal. Need to make safer the hob wiring in the cupboard.
