Wine Resort Villagrande

the restaurant, wine tasting, location and overall comfort and charm were just perfect!

It was gorgeous.

Without a car it was difficult to get to.

This property at a popular Sicily winery is absolutely lovely in a beautiful and quiet setting with a vanishing edge pool and dramatic views! Our room was spacious with a terrace overlooking the vineyards. The staff are all wonderful and Alfonso our contact is super. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning and could choose many items from a menu including eggs. We decided to try the wine pairing dinner with gourmet food and wine which was excellent. This was a perfect way to end our three-week Italy trip. We stayed here for three nights after visiting Taormina only 45 minutes away. Highly recommend this wine resort and experience!

Just a suggestion. Consider adding some relaxing and soft background music at the wine pairing dinner and at breakfast, perhaps Andrea Boccelli. It's very quiet and music would add to the ambiance.

Wonderful staff, location, food

Simple, elegant, stylish, tasteful. Everything surpassed expectation. Dinner in in-house restaurant exceptional and a real bonus. Could not fault our stay.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

Nestled in the foothills of Mount Etna, if you are looking for some peace and quiet with some good wine, then this place is for you. With only a limited number of rooms, it does have an exclusive feel to it, as the rooms are in a building secluded from the winery's main tasting buildings,with an infinity pool that has some spectacular views. Obviously as an active winery there will be plenty of wine tours popping in throughout the day, however this was never bothersome.. Villegrane Winery is relatively isolated, with the village of Milo just over 1km up the hill, so if you are looking for lunch or dinner alternatives then this will be the nearest option. With that said the tasting menu together with wine pairings is out of this world an excellent value for money. The chef is obviously very talented as well as imaginative as they rotate 4 menus meaning that you need to won't need to leave until day 5. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well equipped (including a range of their wines). There is a lounge area with tea and coffee facilities should you wish to make use of them. The breakfast was outstanding and for a nice change a la carte. It should be noted that Villegrande is run very similar to a B&B with the addition of a restaurant. Therefore do not expect to find a bar or restaurant for lunch.

The rain - but what can you do?

The property is amazing! Very well taken care of and very cosy. Staff is really nice and the breakfast was delicious (especially the pastries). The pool view is Incredible and the photos don’t do it justice!

On our third day there nobody entered to clean the room. I left some towels to be changed and found them on the bathroom floor right where i put them (it was their policy to put the towels on the floor when we wanted them to be changed). The wi fi was really weak in our room. Besides these, i would totally recommend this accommodation.
