Bezalel Wine & Brandy Estate

The cottage was nice and cozy and close to Kanoneiland. The 3 bedrooms was equipped with a fridge in each room, but that was it. The complimentary wine and brandy tasting was very good as well as their breakfasts. They have a very cute and interesting little shop on the wine estate - I just loved shopping there.

The place was dirty when we arrived - cobwebs and sand in the corners and under the beds, stains on the bedding, really sad towels, the walls are full of animal residue (I don't think they've ever cleaned it) and the lounge furniture was really gross to sit on. There was no soap in the main room's ensuite bathroom - just an empty handsoap dispenser. I had to get soap from the other bathroom dispensers. The bath in the main room was so gross - looks like it hasn't been cleaned for about a year. There was only 3 coffeesticks and 3 teabags in the kitchen for 6 people. I initially booked for 6 persons and notified them two weeks in advance that we would only be 5 due to a cancellation - they still charged the full amount for 6 persons.

We struggled with wifi on 4 different android devices over the 2 days we stayed - lots of connection dropping , can't find IP adress etcetera

Three men travelling from Namibia fishing trip. Reviews gave the accommodation 9.8. The room we got definitely wasn’t part of that review. Misleading!!!

Love everything about the property. The accommodation, the food, the wine and brandy tasting is divine. A lovely space, with a beautiful maze and walk through arty nursery rhyme themed gardens, leading to a pool overlooking the vineyards… an experience to be enjoyed.
