Excellent views down towards Cudillero. Great to simply sit there and watch what was going on below. Hana was an amazing host and couldn’t do enough for us. She’s a star!

It is a steep walk up the hill to get there, so wouldn’t suit guests with mobility issues.

Not a dislike but only stay here if you can manage the steep streets. It’s worth it for the views.

Just about everything ... the views, the facilities, the host (Hana) were all perfect!

I could say the steep climb (it wasn't too bad) from the town, but you have to expect that if you want the view. The parking situation was problematic given the huge numbers of day trippers but Hana went out of her way to assist with that.

The apartment was small but really lovely. The bathroom and kitchen area were modern, clean and well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. But the most significant and unique feature was the view! It really was one to die for! You could see the whole of the village stretched out below you. Rows of coloured houses with terracotta rooves stretching down and around. It really was beautiful. You find yourself sitting at the window just watching life below you. Also have to mention Hana, the host, she really did go above and beyond for us. Provided us with clear info before hand and a video on how to access the apartment from the square but she also arranged for a local taxi driver to pick us up from the airport and drop us back. She checked in with us via whatsapp to see if we needed anything. She was kind, courteous and considerate. Lovely.I would recommend the apartment to anyone looking for a week away from it all.

What we didn't like had nothing to do with the apartment. I would recommend hiring a car if you want to visit the area. Public transport was okay but would recommend downloading an app such as Busbud to make sure you have tickets for all journeys. You can buy them on the bus from Cudillero to Aviles- the main bus depot- but cannot buy them on the bus back. We found this out when the bus driver refused to let us on the bus back. There are ticket machines in the bus depot but they didn't have any to Cudillero. We eventually got them online via a different bus app. There was a distinct lack of information about bus journeys and a bit of confusion about the bus stops. I would recommend you do research first. However, there are lots of fabulous places to visit, we did go to Oviedo and Luanca which were fab. I would also recommend learning a smattering of Spanish. English is not widely spoken and although Google translate was helpful, I was a little bit ashamed that I didn't know a bit more Spanish beyond hello and thank you.

Great location and very comfortable. Hana was very helpful and a great host- nothing was too much trouble.
