Apartamentos La Casa del Pintor

I absolutely loved Cudillero and it's difficult to imagine a better view to wake up to in the mornings. Hanna provided the warmest of welcomes, fantastic local knowledge and restaurant recommendations and even gave me a bottle of wine when she discovered it was my birthday. The accommodation is the sort of place where I could happily spend a month just relaxing in the peace with the gentle sounds of the town's bustle in the distance below. Did I mention the view!? The bed, although smaller than we're used to was exceptionally comfortable - I slept like a log. All in all, a fantastic location overlooking the harbour where there are loads of fantastic restaurants to choose from.

Personally nothing. Yes, there is a bit of a climb to get to the accommodation from the parking in the harbour (which is plentiful), but Hanna provided a video that showed an easy route without steps and even with two heavy cases, it only took us 10 minutes or so. If you think the walk is going to be too strenuous, she offers to organise a taxi.

Amazing views

The apartment was fabulous with the most amazing view over Cudillero. Everything you needed was there in the apartment. The design had been well thought through. Apart from the view, the best part of this apartment was the amazing service we received from Hana the house manager. She was very informative, helped us with directions to beaches etc and even was kind enough to book a great restaurant for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Cudillero is a wonderful seaside fishing village with the houses assembled in an amphitheatre like fashion around the harbour where many seafood restaurants are located. Hana also organised a taxi to pick us up at the harbour where we had to park our car otherwise it would have been challenging to get our luggage up to the apartment. Close by there are Sandy beaches, scenic rail trails, fantastic drives through the mountains and ancient cities to explore.. Although there were stairs, we had been pre-warned about this through other reviews and were pleasantly surprised at how well we managed them. They all have railings which made it a lot easier. We would highly recommend this apartment and can’t wait to return.

Terrific value for money. Cudillero is an absolute gem and the view from the garden window was jaw dropping.

The location was perfect perched high above the village with a view of the sea and close to all the restaurants. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful. Highly recommend!
