Room was spacious

Location is ideal, convenient to ski rental shops, chair lifts, gondola, several restaurants, some bars. The ski/airport/Lammintupa bus stops are located outside the block C &D end. Ski to door. Ski locker on site. Bowling alley & gym, Koti pizza, Subway, a small supermarket & ski wear shops within the complex. A pleasant walk behind the complex, down through the wooded area, takes you to the bigger S Supermarket & Alko shop. The O Taxi office is handy too. Book on line at least 24 hours ahead, or, go to the office, if you have difficulty phoning. Our non Finnish phones would not connect to any of the local taxi office telephone numbers (U.K. & non E.U. mobiles same issue). Key code for apartment, no key to carry around. If you do not get a text message for the code(whilst travelling/flight mode on/ non e.u. phone etc) you can go to reception at the Ski Inn hotel for assistance during opening hours, they are helpful staff. Luggage storage at Ski Inn hotel, if you arrive before 6pm, or, leave after 3pm. Smart tv, allowing you to stream easily using free wifi. Sauna was easy to use. It was warm enough inside (21 to 23°c) despite the winter temperature outside. Boot/coat storage. The clothes drier is great and essential after a ski session. A full cooker, unusual in the 2 bed apartment, although you lose worktop and cupboard storage. Nice front view over the village. Pleasant walks from the door, towards Riipisen restaurant, Ruka Pizzeria and beyond. Free to borrow sledges can be found in ski locker rooms.

Disappointment upon entering the apartment, as it was not cleaned effectively, never experienced this before at RukaSuites. I presume the housekeeping staff were overstretched. I spent an hour cleaning it, after a 20 hour journey, which was disappointing, not a good start to the holiday. Whilst you can telephone the reception for assistance, I did not want to waste more of my holiday time waiting for housekeeping, after a long day. The plastic 'drip tray' under the dishwasher was filthy, with black sludge. The 'drip tray' was a trip hazard. Dishwasher was not emptied. Crockery not in correct position. Crumbs under & in microwave, in fridge. Large blob of melted chocolate under light switch in 2nd bedroom, thank goodness it was just chocolate..not the dreaded thought I first had. One bath towel had a stain. Several scratches/marks on the walls, which should have been repainted prior to start of the season. Clothes hook wall rail in main bedroom was loose. Grouting a little tired in places. More attention to detail would be appreciated. Little things to note: The worktop area for prepping food is rather small. The wobbly chopping board drawer felt like it would fall apart, so I avoided it. Note: Fridge only, no ice box/small freezer compartment. Just an ice box would have been useful, for ice cream etc. (Do not be tempted to place frozen food under the snow on the balcony, unless covered by a tub, the birds will find it). I could hear the neighbour snoring at night! I had to use ear plugs, though he was exceptionally loud. There was an apartment near us that held a raucous, late night party, one night, thankfully, we were not next door to them. Note: Quiet time is between 10pm-8am, which seems reasonable. I did not like the small, unforgiving, pillows, just my own preference. I prefer a proper double bed, rather than the pushed together twin beds provided, but, the two mattresses were okay.

Good that flat had sauna, spacious kitchen place and rest room for evening chill.

Unprecize info about adress, hard to understand in the spot where is correct doors. Should add map togrther with info, sou that we do not need to search a long time on spot, but gan see before

Property for the friends group are perfect! And sauna after The Bears trails was cherry on the top!
