Mieliefontein Karoo Guest Farm

The main reception area is very nice with lovely gardens. But the standalone self catering house is terrible and extremely unsatisfactory

It is quite difficult to find and security is lacking. Its a stand alone house on a farm with no security ie. Alarm system and no burglar gates. Makes one feel very insecure at night as you are a sitting duck with no one close by. Very old and outdated furniture. Lounge seats some of them are sagging badly and can't be sat on. 1 toilet light not working so unusable at night. Cutlery and crockery are poor quality and seem stained and dirty Bath tub was also quite dirty Kitchen stove - Some of the plates are loose and unsafe. No fan to circulate the air when it's hot despite the ad saying there should be one.

Food was good especially the breakfast. Very friendly host and staff

Location....wasn't easy getting to the place because of the rains

The location is between Pretoria and Cape Town and offers a great Midway stay. The rooms are clean and the food that is offered is outstanding.

I got lost coming to the place it's a little hidden Please explain how dinner is available just on request and it's home cooked because I was confused and brought food when I did not have to. Including images of the rooms would be nice
