Casa da Capela

Spotlessly clean room with shady chairs on the grass or chaise lounge chairs by the pool to relax in overlooking vineyard after hiking. Dinner was excellent! Appetizer tray of olives and cheeses with breads, soup, salad, choice of three entrées (chicken, Hake, or vegetable vegetables with potatoes and rice), plus custard for dessert. Breakfast was good too (hard-boiled egg, rolls with ham/cheese/preserves, muesli with homemade yogurt, fruit, mini chocolate croissants. Host and her husband were extremely responsive and friendly.

Only thing is our room #10 didn’t have a window and the glass door was frosted so you could not see out… Room had quaint 2 foot thick stone wall walls, but felt a little claustrophobic. I think maybe some other rooms had a window

Beautiful place right on the Camino. The best dinner we’ve had so far. Very friendly helpful staff. Great bathroom. We loved it all.

An attractive historic family home. High quality furnishings fixtures and fittings. Beautiful gardens. The evening meal was delicious as was breakfast. Positioned right on the Camino. Very pleasant male host.

You had to ask to borrow a hairdryer which was inconvenient. A note in the room would have enabled us to ask at reception (or preferably a hair dryer joined to the wall that is always there.) Another chair in the room would have been good.
