The property has huge potential with a large garden, with small football nets, sand area, table tennis, a small pool, sun loungers, etc- perfect for families with children. However they need attention (cleaning, repairing etc) and there are lots of nettles on the grass so it is not safe for babies to crawl. The house is in the middle of an oasis looking at a beautiful scenery and just 10 min walk away from the Cascais centre (beach, restaurants, markets etc.) with a lovely shortcut path. Unfortunately for us the positives end here and it is safe to say we were glad to be back home, after staying at Quinta da Villa.

The property should go under renovation immediately. The humidity level was probably 100% and there was black mold growing in bedroom and bathroom. We would have been worried about our children's health if we were to stay any longer. There is no air circulation in the property so you always need to leave the door open. The toilet needs a better fan. After you use the toilet, again due to poor air circulation, the area where you eat/sleep smells of toilet. Floors were very dirty, all of our socks turned brown (not sure what that is!), with dead ants everywhere. The owner doesn't understand customer service. When we woke up in the morning, he was monitoring around and, instead of asking how our night was or if we needed anything, he told me off for leaving the door open at the same time using the heater. His presence gave us the feeling of being watched, rather than being cared for and we always felt we had to leave curtains closed, ask our children not to make noise outside etc. He tried to charge us double for the tourist city tax asking for children to pay as well when legally only adults are required to pay this. When I challenged him, he accepted the lower payment but then chased me twice for payment (During our 1 night stay, as if we were going to run away without paying the 8 euros!) I'd suggest if you would like the guests to pay the tax in cash at check in to message them in advance as there isnt a card facility. We asked if we could leave our luggage at the property after check out for an extra hour, and he told us that we could only leave them in the balcony and he wouldn't be responsible for any valuables. After such a cold response, we of course chose not to leave our luggage and left at 11am exactly, as he started hovering around from 10.30. Please note area is also shared with another house- this isn't mentioned anywhere on the ad!

Die Atmosphäre ist sehr gemütlich und ruhig. Die Unterkunft hat einen sehr schönen grossen Garten zum Spielen und relaxen direkt von der Terasse zugänglich. Die Lage im Tal ist sehr schön und grün und es gibt einen schönen direkten Wanderweg entlang des Tals in die Stadt. Der Gastgeber ist sehr Hilfsbereit.

The view is amazing.

The house was very cold, even with the Hot fun on all night,and there is a lot humidity if the windows are closed there is no ventilation coming in and the bathroom after take shower, is water every where coming down from the walls.

Отличная локация, большая удобная территория, есть бассейн, место для костра, батут, площадка для детей, гамак, теннисный стол, и многое другое. С детьми так вообще сказка

Fabulous outdoor space

Super Lage (ruhig und in der Natur aber gleichzeitig sehr nah an der Stadt (Markt, Strand, Restaurants...) Viele Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder Der Gastgeber war sehr sympatisch und hilfsbereit

Wir waren in November da und die Luftfeuchtigkeit war sehr hoch. Trotz Heizung war die Luft auch in unserem Appartment sehr feucht. Das lag aber sicher an das Wetter. Schlafcouch nicht so bequem wie die Betten im Schlafzimmer. War aber in Ordnung für den Preis.
