Frog Mountain Getaway

We stayed in Firefly, a newly renovated Rondavel. There was absolutely nothing we would have changed/asked for more. The properties are far enough to have privacy from other, yet close enough if you are group to easily walk across to them. The hot tubs are an absolute winner, and you are so close to nature. If you have young ones, there is a very short walk to the river with canoe's, and an exciting slide across the river. The property is multifunctional, it can either be used as a break with lots of activities for your kids in the drier months, or as a romantic couple breakaway. Would definitely recommend 100%

Beautiful setting, very quiet and peaceful

You really need a bakkie to traverse the 8km road in. Nguni house is quaint but very rustic and cramped.

Loved the location and all the farm had to offer. There was so much to do, such as walking into the mountain and up to the labyrinth on top of the hill and enjoying a dip in the river and waterfall . Also, even though the farm appeared to be fully booked, it didn't feel crowded or like our space was being invaded. It was just what we needed for a weekend away. Also, the owners were absolutely lovely. And, Silki the dog, was amazing - she decided to adopt us, walked with us wherever we went and slept on our stoep every evening. We can't wait to go back for another, hopefully longer stay.

The only minor issue was that we had a family with noisy children staying nexty to us on the first night, but nothing to do with the venue. Fortunately they left eary the next morning and the new neighbours were not as loud.

Set in the picturesque mountains outside Swellendam, Frog Mountain Getaway is a nature lovers dream. Cabins are comfortable and well equipped. Loads of outdoor activities. 20 minute drive to Swellendam along a well maintained dirt road.
