The place is hard to find because google maps takes you the wrong location. It was us a really long time to find the place, the police saw us walking on the street and helped us find the place. lol

Clean lovely old building good size room

Mold around the shower tray. Mats slipped on polished floor.

Lovely location with views over vineyards. Verandah gave a shady location to watch sunset and stay out of the hot sun. Fringe in the room and access to drinks and coffee on a pay-for-consumption basis was welcome. Host is friendly and generous with his explanation, despite language hurdles. Very responsive to emails and questions on booking. A short walk to town for cafes and restaurants. And a number of wine cellars close by. Great location near (but not in the bustle)’of the Port areas of the Douro.

The twin with private bathroom required you to leave the room to access the bathroom. It was facing into the very hot afternoon sun and curtains did little to keep the heat away. Other windows had no coverage and allowed the distant street light in all night.

Very nice host. Total silence - we had a very good rest. Great stop while exploring the Douro Valley. Well kept room, bathroom. All high quality. The host was very careful not to be cold at night. We were given valuable folders and notes on what to see in the valley and where to eat.
