Quinta da Calçada

Had the most magical few days here. Correspondence was great from the time we booked to our arrival and being greeted by the lovely Isabel. The rooms were beautiful with crisp white bed linen, hanging space for clothes and coffee making facilities. Sipping wine in the garden was so peaceful and views to die for. Breakfast was delicious and served in a quaint lounge . We loved the village and ate out every night with local cuisine. Already booked to return in July. Thankyou Carmo for making us feel so welcome xx

The property had a great location just on the edge of the town. `The room look like the picture on lline, the beds were really comfy and you sleep really well. The swimming pool was beautifully clean and the best view you could imagine, we sat on our own there and felt there was no one else on the planet - just beautiful.

The bathroom was basic but had exceptional water pressure with lots of hot water - just hold on to the shower head otherwise you will be chasing it around!!

The breakfast could have been a little better, maybe including cereals but overall there were no complaints. We were hoping the room would have been on the main part of the manor house, but it was very comfortable and also a very comfortable sitting room where the WiFi works better

Very endearing old house with a pretty pool. Unfortunately during my stay there I couldn’t swim in it- already the end of the season. Quiet and beautiful place, and an easy walk to the clean and peaceful town center. Both Anna and Neves very kind and helpful. Showed me the beautiful walk along river Minho and suggested places to eat.

The location and the view is fantastic, and the swimmingpool is a story of its own. The atmosphere and the hosts are warm and welcoming as we remember it from last time we were here 12 years ago. We already look forward to come back and stay for a longer time.
