Vržina Farm House Skadar Lake

This felt like staying with family. The hosts were so warm and welcoming. The vista from the room was stunning, the meals we added on were delicious. The family dogs were also very fun. The brother of this family has a vineyard next door called ‘Winery "Tradicija" ‘ - we highly recommend visiting for a meal, the wine and food is some of the best!

Dinner was overpriced for what we got.

Dit zijn de meest gastvrije mensen die we tijdens onze reis in Montenegro zijn tegengekomen. De ontvangst was heel hartelijk. Er was mogelijkheid tot avondeten en ontbijt, die beiden lokaal en heel lekker waren. Verder hebben we ook een boot tocht op het meer gedaan met één van de dochters, wat ook fantastisch was. Absoluut een niet te missen verblijf in de omgeving van het Skadar meer.

Está en una carretera bastante dificil de transitar y la cama era incómoda. Ojo con los extras que van a querer cobrarte: Te ofreceran desayuno aparte por 10€/persona, es casero pero si no te gusta la comida local mejor vete a Virpazar que hay desayunos por 5€ o menos. También te ofreceran hacer un tour en barco privado por el lago por 115€ (3h), nosotros no lo hicimos con ellos porque en el pueblo los encuentras por 25€ (3h igualmente).

Die Familie hat uns sehr herzlich und gastfreundlich empfangen. Das selbstgemachte Abendessen ist absolut zu empfehlen, mit hauseigenem Wein und frisch gefangenem Fisch. Wir haben uns jederzeit total wohl gefühlt. Die private Bootsfahrt lohnt sich ebenfalls. Alles in allem absolut empfehlenswert!

Прекрасный дом, двор, гостеприимство хозяев,чистота.

De eigenaren zijn echt mega aardig! Ze willen je overal mee helpen! Wij hebben via hun ook een boottocht gedaan op de skadar lake, wat echt aan te raden is. Ook hebben we er avond gegeten (€20 per persoon) en ontbeten (€10 per persoon). Alles kwam van eigen bodem, zelfs het vlees. Echt heerlijk! Ook is er dichtbij een strandje. Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf. Neem wel contant geld mee.

Wij vonden het bed niet zo comfortabel (drukveren) en we zijn snachts een keer wakker geworden van de honden op het terrein die luidt aan het blaffen waren. In de buurt zelf is niet heel veel te doen, ook niet in Virpazar. Het is vooral ingericht op toeristen die op het meer willen.

De familie die de appartementen verhuren zijn heel gastvrij, aardig en helpen je tevens om het Skadarmeer op een leuke manier te ontdekken.

Mooie ruime kamers, hele aardige familie en ontzettend rustig. Heel fijn als je net uit de drukkere omgeving van Montenegro komt.

I had the best night’s sleep of our entire holiday here – the room was perfectly quiet and dark, with an exceptionally comfortable bed and pillow. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, which were homemade, delicious, and prepared with fresh produce from the garden. The family running the property were incredibly welcoming and helpful, promptly answering my questions about the Lake Skadar boat trip. We ended up booking a private tour just for our family with a guide, which was a wonderful experience. This place is truly a gem, not to be missed when visiting Montenegro, especially if you’re looking to escape the busy coast.

The only minor point is that the last 10 minutes of the drive to the farm are along a narrow road, but it was quiet and mostly used by friendly locals, so we didn’t encounter any issues.
