Boschfontein Guest Farm

The views were spectacular and the hosts were so friendly and helpful.the farm had cows,zebras,ostriches and tshebes.

I didn't realise that off the grid meant no electrical power points.the road to get to the farm was very bad.

We loved the beautiful view, great outside showers, pool we were allowed to use at the owners house and stunning garden. The kids enjoyed making fire in the donkey for hot water. Quiet and no cell signal made it ideal for long conversations around the fire.

The fridge too small for a family and not working properly. The stoeps could be made a little safer for toddlers as they can easily fall of the cliffs. Would recommend some sort of battery operated communication system with the owners as there is no signal and us being just women and small kids would have felt safer.

The owners are friendly and helpful, always smiling and willing to help in every possible way. They made my family's holiday memorable. The fact that we had the whole lodge to ourselves was beyond our imagination, I will definitely go back soon

The view was exceptional. The outside shower, with a view over the mountain and stars at night, was stunning. Loved the night drive. Louis and Charmaine were kind enough to keep our additional ice stock at the guest house to save us the daily ride. They further made their vehicle available for travelling up and down the mountain as the smaller vehicles had limited off road capacity.

Failed to concider the heat in December.

Bad road for 8 km

It was absolutely lovely. Off the grid, and in a beautiful location. It was such a great experience and we will be visiting again.

Bushveld natural beauty and access to game animals close by. Breath taking mountain view.

Prepare for lots of bugs at night which is part of camp life. Poor cell phone coverage
