We had such an incredible experience staying at Giovanni’s place in the north of Chianti. From the very first moment we arrived, Giovanni welcomed us with so much warmth and generosity. He invited us to taste his local wines - four glasses of both red and white - along with a delicious aperitivo of local vegetables, mozzarella, prosciutto, salami, and his own olive oil (which is amazing!). It was a wonderful build-up: we started with the lighter, “easier” wines and moved up to his reserves - all presented with so much passion and thought. He also gave us a tour of the property and showed us his wine and olive oil production - his passion for what he does really shines through. The location itself is breathtaking, surrounded by hills and nature with unforgettable views. The outdoor area is perfect for relaxing, with plenty of cozy spots to sit and enjoy the scenery. There’s also a pool (which we didn’t use because of the weather) and a hot tub which we did use and was a great way to enjoy the view while staying warm. Giovanni has thought of every detail to make the stay perfect. He was also incredibly helpful with recommendations - from the best local restaurants and wineries to hiking and biking trails, scenic drives, and even which roads to take (including google maps–ready navigation links). We stayed in Tuscany for two weeks and kept using his recommendations even after we left his property. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip - the place, the views, and above all, Giovanni’s hospitality. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic Tuscan experience!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Fabulous overall experience, Giovanni was like a long-lost family member. Facilities were great, including the hot tubs. What he has accomplished with the grounds is nothing less than spectacular. We hope to re-visit in the future.

Uns hat alles von A bis Z super gefallen. Die Parkanlage ist sehr gepflegt, geschmackvoll und großräumig angelegt, ein kleines Paradies. Die Aussicht ist genial. Die Unterkunft (wir hatten das kleine Haus gemietet) ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und es hat nichts gefehlt. Unser Gastgeber Giovanni ist unglaublich herzlich und hilfsbereit.

Il Colle is heaven on earth, absolute paradise. Giovanni, our host, was a true gentleman. What an absolutely incredible Tuscan experience. I cannot speak highly enough of the stay. Will definitely return again.
