Moinho do Barulho

Traumhafte Unterkunft, herrlich ruhig gelegen. Alte Windmühle ist mit viel Herz sehr, sehr liebevoll restauriert worden. Wundervoller Ausblick ins Tal.

Der Pool ist ein Aufstellpool mit wackliger Leiter - das wirkte improvisiert. Da ich aber eh nicht in den Pool wollte, hat mich persönlich das nicht wirklich gestört.

The windmill is absolutely fantastic. It far exceeded our expectations and the pictures don't do it justice. It has been converted beautifully and the attention to detail is fantastic. The "original mill" is stunning, cool thanks to the massive wall, modern little windows, very comfy big bed and beautifully wired with lighting and power points. The two shower rooms are brand new, immaculately tiled, fully functional with uber hot water. Even the shower gel and shampoo are clearly labelled. The views north over the valley to Monchique are outstanding and the sunsets - incredible. It is a perfect retreat for a couple, who want to escape the crowds. The pool is great, deep and ideal for cooling off from the sun. Messines is 5 minutes away with a large Continente supermarket and good restaurants. Silves is about 15/20 mins in the other direction and well worth a visit too. Ruben is very easy to contact and we had the pleasure of meeting him too. We will definitely be back.

Perfect and unique match for our needs! Hiking in the Serra de Monchique or enjoying the sun on the sandy beaches of the Algarve, Moinho do Barulho has it all! Very well equipped, spotless clean, a truly unique place with amazing sunsets and how we enjoyed the small swimmingpool during those steamy hot summerevenings. Perfect! A place to come back to!
