So overall the staff were friendly and the place was spacious and clean. Also this located a 15 minute walk from Kapaleeshwara temple

I have marked this down considerably because the room was advised as accepting Visa payments. What they fail to tell you is that this does not apply to non-Indian visa cards. I stayed at this place in my final few days in India. I had some issues paying with cash and intentionally chose this place as it said it accepts card payments. I also marked this down as the hot water tap barely dispensed and water. My final frustration is my experience upon checking out. The person on duty demanded 200 rupees from me. When I asked them what this was for, they explained "room service". Now having paid over 2000 rupees per night I expect the staff to be paid enough for them to not demand a tip like that. I refused to tip this guy based upon this AND also that he personally did not provide any personal services to me.

Lizard was found in room and kitchen utensils are very old not fit for use.
