Hunter Farm

This was such an amazing place in a beautiful rural setting. My son and I stayed over Kings Birthday weekend and were hosted by Graham and Pam. What a highlight. We had a huge tour of the farm and “helped” (I say this rather loosely with an 8 year old city kid) with the animals. Honestly this holiday was a real highlight for both of us. Comfortable, quiet, delicious breakfasts and my son was obsessed with Pippa the Jack Russell. Easy access to own bathroom, shower, and kitchen. We often have to share facilities when we travel so having our own dedicated facilities was a real treat. Nothing was a bother and it was lovely being welcomed like this was a second home. We will definitely be back. Thank you both so much, we loved our time.

It was available in the rural area where we were looking

It felt like the absolute minimum effort had been made to make this a nice place to stay. The shower is part of an extra room / outhouse for the house - they store insecticide under the sink where you’d expect to find dishwashing liquid. There’s handwash to wash dishes :/ The bathroom is right next to the house where people can walk past. The toaster for breakfast appears to be theirs from the main house which they put out in the morning. The bedroom had an old, faulty heater. We paid $100 for the night including breakfast and our next place was a backpackers at $150 which was incredible, so next time I’ll pay a little more for a much nicer experience,

Room was spacious with a great view and facilities for the family. Amazing breakfast, and friendly owners. Lots of space to enjoy, almost no light pollution great for stargazing.

We had a lovely stay. Pam and Graham are lovely hosts! She makes excellent jam and compote for breakfast that you can have in bed! He took us on a farm tour and showed us the way to the river. The dogs are absolutely adorable! We could do our laundry which was very useful. Hot water in the shower comes fast. The cabin was very comfortable, we felt right at home.
