Jakkalswater guest farm

The setting of the farm. Reachable but off the main road. Garden and rooms spaciousand welappointed and maintained. Strictly self catering but good restaurants and shops nearby. Short and ling walks available.

Swimmingpool was more of a dipping pool. No plugs for charging phone by the single beds.

Sunset and sunrise.

We were not impressed with the reception we received on arrival. I understand the use of off-grid systems and not draining the batteries. but then do not have so many rooms for hire if the system cannot handle what you are charging for. The kitchen utensils were minimalistic and dirty. The bath was super high to get into and no anti-slip mat, but the worst was that the geyser could not maintain it's heat output for even a minute. You burnt or had cold water after trying to adjust the mixer.. It was out of the flower season so prices could have been reduced accordingly.

Our stay was Lovely, we enjoyed the views the room was bigger than expected. We left for a funeral the Saturday morning and when we came back the room was spotless. That was a nice surprise. The pool space was really nice the kids enjoyed it alot. Would definitely recommend the accomodation.

The property is solar powered so there was no electricity in the mornings. Also the fridge switches off during the night so our food and drinks could not stay cold and fresh throughout the night. But we were told before hand so we were aware.
