Private Douro- Quinta das Susandas

Excellent location for exploring the area, with a spectacular view from the balcony of Room 102. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. The room was spacious, offered plenty of storage space, and included a convenient mini fridge. We also appreciated the large free private parking area and the well-furnished balcony.

Breakfast quality was disappointing, with diluted orange juice, watery scrambled eggs, and limited choices of bread and cereals. The requirement to leave the room key at reception in order to receive housekeeping service felt inconvenient and unusual. The spring mattress and thin pillows were not very comfortable, and the carpet in the room showed noticeable signs of wear and would benefit from replacement.

As fotografias apresentadas não mostram bem toda a realidade deste alojamento. São cuidadosamente tiradas de forma a não mostrar as zonas desleixadas. Os móveis do quarto são bastante antigos e pouco funcionais. As portas dos armários faziam imenso barulho a abrir. As toalhas de banho são pequenas, finas, ásperas e duras e tinham várias nódoas (pintas amarelas). Os produtos de higiene/banho são de fraca qualidade. O berço disponibilizado era alto e sem qualquer segurança para colocar um bebé de um ano que já se mete de pé e que facilmente cai do berço. O chão do quarto é em tijoleira o que o torna desconfortável. A janela, apesar de ter um blackout, não impede totalmente a entrada de luz no quarto logo de manhã cedo. A piscina não cumpre os requisitos mínimos de segurança. Não tem escadas de acesso nem qualquer sinalização de declive a meio da piscina. No geral, é um alojamento com acessos e caminhos muito pouco seguros e não é apto para pessoas de mobilidade reduzida ou para crianças. O pequeno almoço foi o pior que já vi, apesar da simpatia da senhora que estava na sala. Para além de não terem variedade e de não apostarem em produtos caseiros, que é o expectável neste tipo de alojamentos, tinham à disposição queijos com bolor. Por motivos de força maior fomos obrigados a encurtar a nossa estadia, mas já o íamos fazer de qualquer forma. Considero que a pontuação deste alojamento no booking está completamente desajustada.

Da simpatia dos funcionários. Tive de sair antes do pequeno almoço e foi me dada a possibilidade de comer alguma coisa antes de sair.

The farm is located in a picturesque place. The administrator is very friendly and always there to help you. Room was clean with beautiful view. There is a home-style restaurant for dinner with great food. Breakfast was delicious as well. I would recommend this place for someone who is looking for a relaxation.

Todos, mas mesmo todos, muito simpáticos e disponíveis. A paisagem é deslumbrante. O espaço exterior da quinta está super bem aproveitado.

It's impossible not to love this hotel - if someone doesn't like it, it's because they don't appreciate the incredible quality this hotel offers. We spent four days visiting the Douro region and stayed in four different Quintas. My only regret is not having booked all our nights at this hotel. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The room we stayed in was next to the main pool (they also have an infinity pool) and had an amazing private balcony - the perfect place to wake up, enjoy a coffee and appreciate the peace and the birds singing. The room was all brand-new, with brand-new beds, everything newly furnished and located in a modern building. The breakfast is excellent, with everything you could need, including freshly local products and scrambled eggs prepared on the spot. All the stay exceeded our expectations and we really recommend!
