Villa Ravino Secret Retreat

lovely setting with great views. Breakfast was delicious as were other meals at the cafe in the cactus garden. Chef Lucas was so lovely and we feel privileged to have tasted his dishes. The whole place is beautiful and the staff are just lovely and cannot do enough to help guests. Plenty of quiet spots to read a book and sip on delicious drinks from the cafe!

My only recommendation (nothing that I didnt like) is for guests to bring some slippers for wearing on the REALLY cold floors of the bedroom. I am sure in height of summer it would provide welcome relief to walk on a cold floor, but we were off-season and found it unbearable! Oh and there was no hot water when we had to get up at 5am for our departure - so that is a warning to others who have to leave and catch the early ferry home!

My third visit, was my partner's first. Ravino is an experience. Nothing quite prepares you for such serenity. Beautiful room, beside pool, surrounded by wonderful garden, very attentive staff, good food and wine. This secret retreat ticks all my boxes for a chilled, relaxing break. I'll be back. Nothing to dislike.

We had a great stay. Luca was super helpful with local knowledge of restaurants, things to do etc. we loved how quiet the grounds were. Views were great from our room and the villa itself. There is a thermal tub as well as a cold pool on the property. I’d highly recommend this spot they ensure that each guest gets special attention.

Gardens, views, staff

A beautiful place, views from the accommodation were stunning, as were the gardens. Facilities were great, the outside and thermal pool were a welcome treat after exploring the island. Staff were so accommodating and helpful from start to finish. They suggested many recommendations of things to do and helped with transport on the island. The accommodation was around a 20minute walk into the town and also to the beach. This could also be reached by bus which stopped directly outside the hotel and took around 5minutes. Ischia Port is around a 30minute trip by bus from the accommodation where you can catch ferries across Capri, Naples, Procida for day trips. If you are visiting Ischia I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Outdated rooms, thin walls and loud in room.

Very beautiful territory! Hotel grounds are amazing, every corner is picturesque and the views are amazing. The hotel is attached to the cacti botanical garden and our walk for breakfast was through that lovely garden. The staff is very friendly and helpful! They helped us to organise transfers to and from the hotel, and they also sell bus tickets. The outside swimming pool was great - beautiful views of the mountains, nice place to chill and relax. The kitchenette was also a great addition to the room - they have a good set of basic things you need for cooking, we enjoyed cooking our dinners a couple of times and having it outside on the terrace.

Internet in our room was quite bad. During the day it was more or less okay, but in the evening (between 9-11pm) it was just unusable. Probably it doesn't have enough capacity for all guests. Also, some parts of the rooms and hotel are a bit knackered and are due to some renovation.

Beautiful gardens with excellent accommodation. The room and common areas were very nice with many different areas to relax. The pool and indoor pool were very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful , in particular Luca and Tina. They helped with trips, restaurants and an excellent hairdressers( Emma’s in Forio). The breakfast was full of variety and the evening meal is definitely recommended. We loved walking in the cactus gardens with the peacocks.
