KN Ionian Suites

Beautiful, practically new, residence, in a quiet little coastal town (Nikiana) at Lefkas. Perfect for what we were looking for, as our 'base' to explore the island, as we do not prefer massive crowds. Everything was clean, beds were great, and breakfast was sufficient, but what really caught our attention, was the high level of ownership by the hotel-manager, Dimitris. A young man with (for me) an old-fashioned way of caring for his guests, in the most positive sense of the word! Always ready to assist, and give passionate details and ideas about 'his' beautiful island, of which he is clearly very proud of, as he should. My compliments, and thank you (and your entire team!) very much for a very pleasant stay! :)

Some minor (sometimes) technical issues in the room(s) might be solved/disguised better, before the season starts. And perhaps the (very) bright light in the living-room (we had a room, with a separate bedroom), might be 'dimmed' somewhat, or some extra smaller lights installed in there, to give the room a bit more of a 'cosy' feeling ... But, these are just pointers, nothing to worry about! ;)

Overall stay was excellent, Dimitri the Manager was very helpful throughout our stay, a big shout out to the cleaners/housekeepers as they did a fantastic job at cleaning very well. The location itself is pretty ok ( 2 minute walk to the beach) , it's not the best beach but it's good enough ( for the really breathtaking beaches you have to head to the west side of the island at least 30 minutes away by car). The breakfast provided was ok , I would've liked to see more of the fresh greek produce. The hotel has a swimming pool which i didn't use ( but as a caution the hotel is full of families with many kids jumping up and down and talking loudly). We had a few hiccups during our stay but all was sorted by Dimitris. Comparing to the other hotels we saw close by I would say this is by far the nicest.

Too many kids screaming and jumping by the pool. The bathroom pipes emit some smells sometimes ( although I suspect this is an island problem and not necessarily from the hotel itself).

Breakfast was good, although it would have been nice to have more fresh fruit to go with the yogurt and maybe some nuts and seeds?

A bar or maybe drinks to buy on site. I know there are lots of shops around to buy alcohol, buy it sometimes nice to relax around the pool with other guests and have a nightcap.

The host is very nice and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable. Nearby restaurants and supermarket. And we enjoyed the dog of the owner very much .

No coffee in the room

Frühstück sehr eintönig, keinerlei Abwechslung, Immer wieder gerüchliche Auffälligkeiten (wie Kläranlage) in der Umgebung. Mitarbeiter /Eigentümer zeigen wenig Freundlichkeit - absolute Ausnahme Dimitri Matratzen extrem weich

The location is great only being a few footsteps from the beach. The staff were friendly and attentive. The room was spacious, modern and very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was ok but a little more variation would of been nice. There was always plenty of parking available in the hotels parking lot next to the hotel.

The swimming pool was very difficult to get out of . There was only one step ladder to use to get out of the pool and it was broken, of the three steps that should have been on the step ladder only the top step of the ladder remained . You really had to have a lot of strength to pull yourself out of the pool onto the top step of the ladder. The tiles around the pool were slippery when wet.
