Golden Stone Santorini Suites

The polished stone design and shower cave were a wow factor. Roof terraces were a great space to eat, drink and chill out and generally enjoy the stars and sights and sounds of Akrotiri and beyond. Room very clean.

Hot water was sporadic, I think because it was solar heated and early morning there isn’t any. The polished stone shower was impractical - floor v slippy when wet and hook for shower head was very badly positioned, way too high up and only possible angles sprayed water outside the shower ‘cubicle’. Toilet paper, yea/coffees, water etc not replenished - I would have expected this for the price. Bed pillows overstuffed and rock hard. Main window in room was tiny and about 10ft up the wall, probably due to quirky design of property. Bathroom window tiny!

The room should be cleaned every day from 11:00-13:00. The cleaning leady was around from 9:00 and when we were leaving the room she was asking if we want to have the room cleaned and then only she was cleaning it. One day we left the room very early and when we came back in the afternoon the room was not cleaned and we did not have clean towels. I wrote to Aris which in the begging just ignored my text and then after insisting he told me that the cleaning lady had a small accident and couldn't clean it. This was apparently a lie because if it was like that he should have informed us! The room was not cleaned because she didn't see us in the morning. Despite that, she was not cleaning well. Everywhere there was sand. Moreover outside the room it was smelling very bad because of the drainage system.

The suite was very nice, we really love the jacuzzi/bath tub.

Nothing.

The room is bright and clean.

The road is steep at some level and the surface is rough, making it difficult to curry luggage . The car can not access to the property . Taking taxi or public bus to the town.

Located close to town. Very cute room and patio area. Property manager communicated through WhatsAp to ensure we had a timely checkin

Just a note, that to reach the hotel there a a fairly lengthy walk up a steep path. No car access. However, the property manager was more than willing to help bring the luggage up to the room. It did seem to get easier each time we went up ;)

Such a fantastic place to stay in Golden Stone Suite in Akrotiri with an incredible view off the ocean from the top patios. Very warm hospitality from the owner and staff. Excellent location, a very short walk distance to the centre off town. I will definitely come back to stay here again.
