Cambridge City Mill

Good location for what we needed, near the train station.

The communication leading up to and on the day of our stay was not great. Eventually had to call booking.com for support. The booking was for two people but only one towel that could be used after showering, but two smaller hand towels

It is well located.

The main entrance is behind a restaurant. It looks like the house of someone that is on renting. There is no reception. That did not bother me but I think it should be clear for new guests.

Excellent location & everything close by. Customer service was great as well.

Relatively cheap at very short notice, with a convenient location. Things were very much as expected based on that. Nothing especially grand, but clean. Instructions for getting into the room (accessed by an alley between rows of buildings) were clear.

Not the most comfortable stay - the springs in the mattress were prominent, the bathroom cramped with a small shower space. Various fittings had some damage to them. The rooms themselves are above two different takeaways. I don't know what exactly caused it, but one of them had some form of large fan running that caused the whole room to vibrate slightly when it was running. Worth noting that reaching the room involved going up two staircases, one of which was narrow and fairly steep, with an automatic light sensor that only triggered at the very top of the staircase - and then didn't stay on long enough to unlock the door.

Not as Described I booked Double Room,1 single bed & 1 large bed King size, Arrived to the property to find a standard size double bed & a fold up bed that you could only describe as a camp bed. Very unsatisfied, Contacted the property owner, Who was not at all helpful. I had to arrange alternative accommodation for second guest.
